First Consultation

The initial step is to request a visit at our center, so our Patient Care team can gather your personal details and relevant information. For example, if you have undergone treatments in the past, this will help the doctor prepare for your consultation.

How is a diagnosis reached?

It is crucial for the doctor to carefully analyze the patient's medical history, reproductive background, and any relevant treatments they have undergone. With this information, the doctor can determine if additional tests, such as a gynecological examination, are necessary.

Next Steps and Treatment Initiation

Once the doctor has gathered the necessary information, they will recommend a treatment plan, as well as any required medications and/or complementary tests. The doctor may need to wait for the results of these tests before determining the treatment.

Budget

After the consultation, our Patient Care Department will provide a detailed quote for the assisted fertilization techniques, analyses, and preliminary tests the doctor has requested.

After the First Visit

After the first visit is completed and you have the documentation and information in hand, you may have new questions. Our professionals are available to advise you.

Frequently Asked Questions

It is recommended to visit an assisted reproduction center after a year of regularly having unprotected sex without achieving a pregnancy. It is also advisable to consult after six months of regular unprotected sex without a pregnancy, or if the woman is over 35 years old.

The questions you will need to answer for our Patient Care team are:

  • Are you a patient or have you been treated previously at WeFIV?
  • Have you undergone any assisted reproduction treatment at another center?
  • Do you have any tests done? If the answer is yes, you should bring them to the first visit.
  • Where are you calling from?

Please bring all previous analyses and reports, as well as your ID

Since spermogram results may vary depending on the analysis procedure, we require that this study be performed again at our facility. This analysis is necessary for the doctor to make a diagnosis, so patients living outside the city may be asked to have it done on the day of their first visit. In this case, the patient should abstain from sexual activity for 3 to 5 days.

Our professional team analyzes each case individually based on each patient’s medical history and the results of physical examinations performed on each couple. Women should undergo a basal hormonal study, ultrasound, and hysterosalpingography. Doctors will assess if additional tests are needed based on each patient’s specific situation. For men, a diagnosis requires a semen analysis or spermogram to evaluate semen quality.

Our center does not have a waiting list for any treatment.
