What is the OVODON NEST Plan?

The OVODON NEST Plan is part of the Healthy Embryo Program*, created to help our patients not only achieve pregnancy in less time but also have a genetically healthy child. Through the Egg Donation treatment + PGT-A (Preimplantation Genetic Testing for Aneuploidies), our goal is for our patients to achieve at least one healthy embryo for transfer.

When is the Ovodon NEST Plan recommended?

  • Women with ovarian failure due to menopause, premature ovarian failure, or ovarian surgery.
  • Women who cannot use their own oocytes due to poor quality or hereditary diseases that cannot be detected by PGT techniques; women with repeated failures in In Vitro Fertilization.
  • Women who have inaccessible ovaries for oocyte retrieval.
  • Recurrent miscarriages.
  • Chromosomal abnormalities in the woman or the embryos.
  • When the male has a normal semen sample (more than 10 million total motile sperm).

The importance of a healthy embryo*

Humans, by nature have a relatively low gestation rate compared to other living beings.

We know that there is about a 25% chance of pregnancy in a healthy, reproductive-age couple.

In order to achieve pregnancy as quickly as possible, it is crucial to consider both the number of oocytes that can be obtained in a puncture and also the genetic condition of the embryos that both parties’ gametes can create.

It is true that being a healthy woman (without any apparent disease) and young (up to 31 years old), significantly improves the chances of not only obtaining embryos but also achieving pregnancy. However, despite being a young and healthy woman, there is naturally a percentage of eggs that can be genetically abnormal. The Ovodon NEST Plan aims to
increase the chances of pregnancy for each transfer and decrease miscarriage rate by utilizing techniques to select chromosomally normal embryos. With a 67.5% rate of normal blastocysts, it significantly exceeds the 30% rate of normal embryos in treatments with the patient’s own eggs for women over 40.*

Advantages of the Ovodon NEST Plan

When deciding on a treatment or technique, it is important to discuss with a specialist the advantages that this decision may entail.

  • High probability of having a healthy embryo.
  • Shorten the “time to pregnancy”.
  • Increase the probability of reproductive success by selecting chromosomally normal embryos.
  • Reduce the miscarriage rate.
  • Perform fewer transfers, alleviating the emotional burden that assisted reproduction treatments entail.
  • Improve pregnancy rates vs an Egg Donation treatment without selecting chromosomally normal embryos.

What does the Ovodon NEST Plan include?

Transparency is a fundamental characteristic when starting treatment. It’s something that we pride ourselves on in every step we take with our patients. It is easier to set a clear path and know what to anticipate when the patient is aware of the reasons for infertility and the likelihood of success in each situation. We take our responsibility very seriously because each procedure involves all of our patients’ hopes, efforts, and emotions.

  • Ultrasound checks during the cycle – Unlimited
  • Semen analysis + Freezing of fresh semen
  • Egg donor treatment
  • Preparation and puncture (egg retrieval) D + Assisted Reproduction Laboratory Management
  • ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection) / IVF
  • Extended pre-embryo culture (day 5)
  • Pre-embryo transfer
  • Pre-embryo vitrification
  • Pregnancy test result consultation
  • Gestational control
  • Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGT-A)

*The Center does not guarantee that the patient will receive a healthy embryo during the program, as it is a medical treatment. The center assumes only an economic commitment to refund the money in case the expected result is not achieved, that is, obtaining a healthy embryo as detailed herein. Likewise, the patient must sign an informed consent before starting this treatment, detailing the procedure and the risks to their health.

*Commitment subject to WeFIV’s prior approval and the patient’s compliance with all established conditions and requirements. In the case of a second attempt, services not included in the Ovodon NEST Plan must be paid for again.

Frequently Asked Questions

Through the Ovodon NEST Plan, we aim to obtain at least one embryo. If it is not achieved in the first cycle, the specialist may recommend additional tests, not included in the Plan, which will be at the patient’s expense. Based on the results of these tests, a second cycle could be performed at no additional cost, as per medical recommendation.

The Ovodon NEST Plan aims to obtain at least one healthy embryo in up to 2 attempts. Once the first healthy embryo is obtained, no further cost-free cycles will be performed. If no healthy embryo is obtained after 2 attempts, a refund will be given.

Congratulations! The remaining embryos are vitrified for a later cycle. Patients are responsible for their maintenance.

An embryo whose PGT-A study indicates that it is euploid, regardless of its evolutionary state and morphological condition.

If no healthy embryo is obtained in the first cycle, patients may perform, only by medical indication, the second attempt within 3 months of starting the first cycle.
